Compress a PDF to 200 KB

Two hundred kilobytes is the limit you meet on marksheets, caste and income certificates and most bank KYC uploads, and it is generous enough that a two- or three-page scan stays crisp. The tool aims for the number, checks the whole file against it, and says so if the file is too long to make it.

How it works

  1. Choose the PDF that needs to be under 200 KB.
  2. The size is already set; change it only if the notice says a different number.
  3. Compress, then save the smaller file and upload that.

Questions

Which pages get shrunk the most?

The room under 200 KB is shared out by how much picture each page has, so a full-page scan gives up more than a small logo does. Pages with no pictures at all are left exactly as they were.

Will the numbers on my marksheet still be readable?

At 200 KB a two-page scan keeps its detail well. On a longer document the tool shrinks harder to fit, and if that would make it illegible it stops and tells you the size it reached instead.
