Convert HEIC to JPG

iPhones save photos as HEIC, which Windows, older Android phones and most government upload forms refuse to open. Converting to JPG makes the same photo readable everywhere without visibly changing it.

Starting the converter…

How it works

  1. Drop your .heic or .heif files in; you can add a whole camera roll at once.
  2. Choose how small you want the JPGs, or leave the size as it is.
  3. Convert, then save each photo as it finishes or grab them all together.

Questions

Why will nothing open my HEIC file?

HEIC is an Apple format. Safari and recent Macs read it directly, but Windows needs extra software installed and many web forms reject it outright. JPG has no such problem.

Does converting to JPG lose quality?

JPG is lossy, so there is some loss, but at normal settings it is invisible. If a form has a size limit, use the size control; it will hit the number you ask for.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion happens inside your browser on your own device. You can switch off your Wi-Fi and convert another photo to prove it.
