Convert WebP to JPG

Images saved from the web and stickers shared on WhatsApp often arrive as WebP, which plenty of older software and upload forms still reject. JPG is the safe format to hand to anything.

Starting the converter…

How it works

  1. Drop in the .webp files, or paste one straight from your clipboard.
  2. Pick a size if the file needs to fit a limit.
  3. Convert, then save the JPGs.

Questions

Why did I end up with a WebP file?

Chrome and many websites serve WebP because it is smaller than JPG. Saving such an image keeps that format, which is fine on the web but awkward everywhere else.

Does a WebP with transparency work?

It converts, but JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas come out white. Convert to PNG instead if you need to keep them.
