Watermark a PDF
A quotation that keeps getting passed around, a draft that should not be mistaken for the final version, a scan of an ID that is going to one office and nowhere else: a mark across the page says so on every copy, including the printed ones.

How it works
- Choose the PDF you want marked.
- Type the words in English or Hindi, or pick a logo, and set how big and how strong the mark is.
- Stamp the pages, then save the marked copy.
Questions
Can I mark only some of the pages?
Yes. Leave it on every page, or name the ones you want, like "2-" for everything after a cover sheet. Pages you leave out come through completely untouched.
Will the mark sit correctly on a sideways page?
Yes. Pages scanned or saved sideways carry a turn instruction, and the mark follows it, so "bottom of the page" means the bottom you actually see rather than the bottom of the raw sheet.
Can I write the mark in Hindi?
Yes. Type Devanagari and the lettering for it is brought in automatically, with the joined letters and vowel signs formed properly rather than strung out one after another. English typed alongside it is set in the same lettering, so a mixed line stays even.
Does a watermark stop someone removing it?
No, and nothing that draws on a page can. It is drawn into the page rather than laid over it, so it survives printing and screenshots, but somebody determined with the right software can still take it out.
