Resize a photo for a PAN card application
This page is set to bring a PAN application photo under 50 KB, which is the figure those forms most commonly ask for, and it will not go below 20 KB. PAN applications run through more than one provider, though, and NSDL and UTIITSL do not always ask for the same thing.
Starting the converter…
This page targets under 50 KB (and no smaller than 20 KB) at about 3.5 × 2.5 cm. NSDL and UTIITSL limits differ between forms, so always check the current requirement on the portal you are using.
How it works
- Add your passport-style photo.
- The 50 KB ceiling is already in place for you.
- Press the button to compress, then save it and upload it to whichever portal you are using.
Questions
Is the 50 KB limit the same on NSDL and UTIITSL?
Not always. Fifty kilobytes is the figure these forms most often state, and it is what this page aims at, but the two providers differ and so do the online form and the physical application. Check the requirement printed on the exact form you are filling in.
Does the photo need a white background?
A plain light background is expected. This tool changes the size of your photo, not its background.
